X-DynEQ is a dynamic EQ plugin developed by Solid State Logic, building on the company's X-EQ 2 equalizer. It can operate as either a 24-band dynamic EQ or a 24-band parametric EQ, with 20 different EQ types and filter shapes. Each bell or shelf band can be switched into dynamic mode, allowing its gain to respond to changes in the incoming signal. Dynamic bands provide Attack, Release, and Threshold controls, with Auto settings that can adapt these parameters to the incoming audio. X-DynEQ also introduces Notch, Bandpass, and Tilt EQ filter types for applications ranging from surgical frequency correction to broader tonal balancing.

The plugin provides flexible per-band processing, including Stereo, Left, Right, Mid, and Side modes, as well as a Focus mode for concentrating on specific parts of the stereo field. Its advanced sidechain system allows dynamic nodes to be triggered by internal or external signals from other bands, which can be useful for frequency-dependent processing and creative effects. The node-based interface includes a Piano Roll view for relating EQ frequencies to musical notes, while SSL's anti-cramping technology and optional HQ mode provide a high-accuracy EQ response with dynamic oversampling. X-DynEQ is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats for 64-bit Windows and macOS systems.
