Vintage Dead ADpak is described as a beat-making powerhouse for any style, and its intended uses are named with unusual precision: it is equally perfect for beats and breaks, psychedelic indie pop in the vein of Tame Impala, Khruangbin, and Glass Beams, or hard-hitting rock like Queens of the Stone Age and Death from Above 1979. The "dead" in the name refers to deliberately dampened drums — muffled, shortened, and controlled, which is a specific production choice rather than a compromise: damping removes the ring and sustain that make drums sound generic and lets them sit under a dense arrangement or in a lo-fi context. Its contents are documented: 3 kick drums, 4 toms, 2 snares, 7 cymbal pieces, and auxiliary percussion offer immense creative freedom, and the recording approach is central: blend close, overhead, and room mics to manifest a dead drum sound that perfectly fits your vibe — where close microphones preserve the attack and the room microphones add the character, so the balance between them is the main tonal control. The kit is a custom-dampened vintage kit with tons of mojo, recorded at the legendary Ingrid Studios in Stockholm, and it ships with mix-ready, tweakable presets created by the scene's best, and beats performed by amazing drummers and beatmakers. As an ADpak it is an expansion product for owners of Addictive Drums 2 — ADpaks are drum kit expansions covering complete kits with production-ready presets, kit pieces that can be tweaked and freely combined. It belongs to the Dead & Dry Collection alongside Vintage Dry ADpak, Dead Beats & Songs MIDIpak, and Dry Beats & Songs MIDIpak at $169.00 on sale, and is priced at $88.00 list, around $79 through discounters. Requirements are macOS 10.13 or later (64-bit) or Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), with an internet connection during installation, in VST, AU, AAX (64-bit) plus a standalone application. #VintageDead #ADpak #AddictiveDrums #AddictiveDrums2 #XLNAudio #DrumKits #DampenedDrums #DeadDrums #IndiePop #Psychedelic #Rock #Beatmaking #IngridStudios #Stockholm #DeadAndDryCollection #MusicProduction #VST #AU #AAX #Standalone #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #StudioOne
