Its low band provides selectable bass boost and attenuation, while the high band offers broad-frequency shaping for adding air and presence. The plugin's ability to simultaneously boost and cut the same frequency produces the characteristic low-end shaping associated with this EQ topology, while its tube-based modeling adds analog coloration.

VEQ-1A is designed for both individual track and bus processing, with applications including vocals, drums, guitars, synths, bass, and full mixes. The controls include selectable low-frequency targets, high-frequency boost, attenuation, and bandwidth adjustment. The Native version runs on Windows and macOS in VST3, AU, and AAX formats, while a Synergy Core Real-Time version is available for compatible Antelope Audio interfaces.
