Usynth VORTEX is a virtual synthesizer plugin developed by UJAM and designed around the energetic sound of late-1990s and Y2K-era trance. Its sound palette focuses on sharp, powerful electronic textures including thick supersaw anthems, rave stabs, chord hits, driving basses, arpeggios, gated sounds, pads, keys, strings, noise, and effects. It is suited to trance, EDM, techno, rave, and contemporary electronic productions that require bright, aggressive, and high-energy synth sounds.

VORTEX is built on UJAM's Usynth engine, combining multiple synthesis approaches with an integrated sequencer/arpeggiator and multi-effects section. It includes 100 synthesizer patches and 100 global presets, providing ready-to-use sounds while retaining simplified macro-style controls for quickly shaping patches. The broader Usynth engine combines Virtual Analog, Wavetable, FM, and Multisample synthesis, alongside a multi-mode filter, five-stage envelopes, LFOs, and a 12-way modulation matrix. VORTEX requires the UJAM App for installation and authorization and runs as a 64-bit plugin in VST 2, VST 3, AU 2, and AAX formats. It supports Windows 10–11 and macOS Monterey 12 through macOS Tahoe 26, with support for Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. The minimum system requirements include 8 GB of RAM, approximately 0.2 GB of free disk space, a 1280×768 display, and an internet connection.
