Urban Drill & Trap for Serum is presented by The Tone Foundry as their latest expansion pack for Xfer Serum, and its design brief is described in detail: in this electrifying pack, we've drawn inspiration from the luminaries of the scene, channelling the raw energy of Pop Smoke, the lyrical prowess of Fivio Foreign, the intensity of 21 Savage, the production mastery of Carns Hill, and the ferocity of Harlem Spartans, so that this pack is your all-access pass to crafting the next drill or trap anthem. The genre specificity is the point: drill has a distinctive production signature — sliding 808s, dark minor-key melodies, sparse arrangements, and tightly quantised hi-hat patterns — and a pack built for it should supply exactly those elements. Drill and trap production depends on sliding 808 bass, which requires presets designed for pitch glide over long notes, and that is reflected in the content. The features comprise 50x Presets for Xfer Serum v1 or v2, broken down as 6x Arpeggio, 16x Bass, 2x Drum, 3x FX, and 23x Synth, plus 50x Bonus Wavs. The bass and synth weighting is deliberate: 16 bass presets for the 808 and sub work, and 23 synth presets for the melodic loops that carry drill tracks. A practical installation note is documented: all Tone Foundry Serum packs include a Serum 2 preset pack for full compatibility and ease of install with the latest version of Xfer's acclaimed synth — which matters because Serum 2 is a separate generation with its own preset format, so packs that fail to include it cause installation friction. The pack requires the latest version of Xfer Serum v1 or v2. It is available at a substantial discount from $39.00 to $5.00. Note that this pack does not include any of the drum loops or vocals in the demo track; they are used purely for demonstration purposes only. It suits drill, UK drill, trap, and hip hop production. #UrbanDrillAndTrap #Serum #XferRecords #TheToneFoundry #Drill #UKDrill #Trap #HipHop #PresetPack #Presets #808 #BassPresets #SynthPresets #Serum2 #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
