UK Speed Garage Vol. 1 for Serum 2 is a preset pack built for Serum 2 and aimed at UK speed garage — the genre whose signature elements are specific and immediately recognisable: the "donk" bass — a short, pitched, heavy staccato bass note on the offbeat — plus time-stretched vocal chops, wide organ or rave stabs, and a two-step-adjacent swing. The genre's revival in the 2020s made these sounds sought after again, and the palette is narrow enough that a genre-specific pack is genuinely useful rather than a compromise. Because the title says "for Serum 2", it targets Xfer Records' second-generation wavetable synthesizer, and that designation matters: Serum 2 adds engine capabilities and a preset format the original did not have, so packs built for it can use features a Serum 1 pack cannot. The bass work in this genre depends on pitch and amplitude envelope precision — the "donk" is defined by how fast its amplitude and pitch envelopes resolve — which is primarily an envelope-programming task rather than a wavetable one, so a well-made pack supplies basses with those envelopes already tuned. Packs in this category typically also supply stabs, organ chords, leads, pads, and effects, with macros assigned and often matching MIDI files. It suits UK garage, speed garage, bassline, 2-step, and modern UK-influenced dance production. Presets run inside Serum 2 on macOS and Windows. Confirm the publisher, preset count, and version requirement against your listing, since the name is descriptive and genre packs in this revival space are published by many developers — and note that publishers now routinely include a Serum 2 preset pack alongside Serum 1 versions for compatibility, so verify whether your pack is Serum 2-only. #UKSpeedGarage #Serum2 #XferRecords #PresetPack #Presets #UKGarage #SpeedGarage #Bassline #2Step #Donk #BassPresets #Stabs #Chords #Macros #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
