TRITON is a software recreation of the original KORG TRITON workstation, developed by KORG and supervised by members of the original TRITON development team. The instrument reproduces the hardware's HI (Hyper Integrated) synthesis system, including its PCM sample-based sound engine, filters, effects, master EQ, and multi-timbral architecture. The software includes the complete collection of original TRITON preset programs along with all eight EXB-PCM expansion libraries, resulting in more than 4,000 ready-to-use sounds covering acoustic and electric instruments, keyboards, basses, synths, drums, orchestral sounds, pads, leads, and effects.

TRITON also includes eight-part multi-timbral Combination mode, five insert effects, two master effects, a master EQ, and 307 dual arpeggiator patterns for generating rhythmic and melodic phrases. A searchable sound browser organizes presets by instrument type and sound character, while EASY mode provides quick access to important sound-shaping parameters without requiring the full workstation interface. The plugin supports real-time MIDI control and automation and can operate both as a standalone instrument and as a DAW plugin. Its extensive sound library makes it particularly useful for hip-hop, R&B, pop, electronic music, dance music, and productions seeking the characteristic keyboard, synth, drum, and orchestral sounds associated with the late 1990s and 2000s.

TRITON is available for 64-bit Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.13 or later. Supported plugin formats include VST, VST3, AU, and AAX, depending on the platform/version, with native Apple Silicon support on Mac.
