The Collection 1 – VPS Avenger Expansion is described as the big one, and the developer's framing sets its scope: with a whopping 175 premium presets, you can find instant gratification for a broad array of styles ranging from EDM, Trance, House, Synthwave, and Vocal Dance to Pop, Cinematic, Chillout — and all mash-ups thereof. A veritable treasure trove of inspiration, Vengeance-Sound Avenger Expansion: The Collection 1 is a must to own. The two published preset counts differ — 173 presets in the developer's own feature list against 175 in the distributor's description — so the catalogue should state which figure it uses, since the discrepancy is small but visible. What makes this expansion substantively different from a preset pack is its contents, documented in full: 173 Avenger Presets, 98 Multi-Samples, 85 Osc-Shapes, 47 Granular Samples, 39 Wavetables, 31 Drum Kits, 31 Drum Sequences, and 8 Multi-Loops. That list is the product's real argument: Avenger expansions can add wavetables, oscillator shapes, and multisamples to the synth itself, not merely load presets — a capability documented on sibling releases, where Tech House 2 ships 151 Avenger Presets, 60 Multi-Samples, 25 Drum Kits, 6 Wavetables, 18 Multi-Loops, and 19 Osc-Shapes and Tech House 1 ships 136 presets including 34 new drumkits, 34 new drum sequences, 89 new multisamples, 36 new osc-shapes, and 6 new wavetables — so buying The Collection 1 expands what Avenger can synthesise, permanently, which is a materially different purchase from buying patches. The 31 drum kits and 31 drum sequences are worth noting separately, since they mean the expansion supplies rhythmic content as well as melodic and textural material — useful in a genre-spanning pack where a producer may be building whole arrangements inside Avenger. The host's scale is documented: Avenger 2 offers up to 5 filter modules plus a master filter module with parallel filtering and complex routing, 47 filter types covering analog, comb, vowel, peak, FM/crush, and TB, and 750+ high quality presets, with a tag cloud for presets, favourites and expansions, and a file browser for importing samples, wavetables, and shapes. A requirement applies and should be stated: the latest version of VPS Avenger is required to run this software — and version requirements in this range vary by expansion and are specified precisely, as documented on Tech House 1 and 2, which require VPS Avenger v1.8.0 or later, and The Collection 2, whose demo notes that VPS Avenger version 2.4.1 minimum is required — so a buyer should confirm their Avenger version before purchasing, since the range spans both Avenger 1 and Avenger 2 and the two are not interchangeable. It is published by Vengeance Sound and distributed through Plugin Boutique and Sweetwater, listed at $75.00. It suits EDM, trance, house, synthwave, vocal dance, pop, cinematic, and chillout production, and a genre-spanning collection of this scale is most useful for a producer who works across styles rather than one who needs a single-genre specialist pack. #TheCollection1 #VPSAvenger #AvengerExpansion #VengeanceSound #PluginBoutique #ExpansionPack #Presets #MultiSamples #OscShapes #GranularSamples #Wavetables #DrumKits #DrumSequences #MultiLoops #EDM #Trance #House #Synthwave #VocalDance #Pop #Cinematic #Chillout #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
