Baby Audio TAIP is an AI-powered tape emulation and saturation plugin designed to recreate the harmonic richness, nonlinear behavior, and compression characteristics of a classic 1970s European tape machine. Its machine-learning-based modeling approach captures the interaction between tape saturation and the source signal, allowing TAIP to add analog warmth, harmonic density, and tape-style glue to drums, instruments, vocals, and mixes. The Drive control ranges from subtle coloration to heavy saturation and distortion.

TAIP includes Single and Dual tape models, Lo/Hi Shape controls, Glue compression, Noise, Presence, Wear, Input, Mix, and Auto-Gain, allowing the tape response to be shaped from clean and controlled to degraded and heavily saturated. The Wear control introduces tape-speed instability, while the Noise and Presence controls provide additional control over the character and high-frequency response. TAIP includes 135 factory presets and supports Windows and macOS in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats, with native Apple Silicon support.
