SynthMaster One is KV331 Audio's smaller sibling to the flagship SynthMaster range, and it was voted "The Best New Synth of 2017" by MusicRadar — a reception that reflects its design position: a streamlined wavetable synthesizer that delivers the operator's core sound without the larger instrument's depth. SynthMaster One implements true wavetable synthesis, which opens up new possibilities for sound design. You can import wave files that contain wavetables into SynthMaster One and use them in your projects, which matters because user wavetable import is what keeps a synth's palette open-ended. Its filters are a documented strength: all of the 4 new filter categories in SynthMaster One are developed using the zero delay feedback filter technology. With advanced filter parameters like input gain, drive, and acid, you can get that "analog" sound from the filters! — and zero delay feedback filters are preferred because they avoid the artefacts that conventional digital filter designs introduce at high resonance, producing a more authentic analog character under self-oscillation. Version 1.3 additions are worth specifying: a new white skin by Satyatunes, and 3 new envelope types — Digital, Profat, and Oobee — where Digital is the default algorithm in SynthMaster, while Profat and Oobee are new algorithms modelled after two well-known analog synthesizers. Platform coverage is unusually broad: SynthMaster One runs as a VST instrument on both Windows and Mac OSX, and also as an Audio Unit instrument on Mac OSX and on iOS. On Windows, it runs as a standalone application as well, with a dedicated SynthMaster One iOS edition whose description notes it is the mobile version of KV331 Audio's SynthMaster One software synthesizer. SynthMaster 3 is backwards compatible with SynthMaster One and SynthMaster 2 — if those products are installed and authorized on the user's system, SynthMaster 3 shows the presets for those products, and can load those presets as entire presets or into layers. It suits electronic music, EDM, trance, and sound design, and a SynthMaster 3 Upgrade from SynthMaster One path exists. KV331 states the product includes a multi-device license, free plug-in updates, and a fully functional demo version. #SynthMasterOne #SynthMaster #KV331Audio #WavetableSynth #Synthesizer #Synth #ZeroDelayFeedback #Filters #Envelope #Profat #Oobee #WavetableImport #iOS #Standalone #SoundDesign #EDM #Trance #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro
