SynthMaster 3 is described as KV331 Audio's flagship all-around modular software synthesizer, available in VST2, VST3, AudioUnits and AAX formats. Its breadth is the defining characteristic: it features many different synthesis methods including VAnalog, Additive, Vector, Wavetable, Granular, Phase Modulation, Phase Distortion, Frequency Modulation, Pulse Width Modulation, Ring Modulation, Physical Modeling and SFZ Sample Playback — an unusually wide set for one instrument, and the reason it functions as a single environment for most synthesis needs. The architecture is built from generator modules: Basic Oscillator, Additive Oscillator, Vector Oscillator, Wavetable Oscillator, VAnalog Oscillator, Granular Oscillator, and Modulator, and each SynthMaster 3 instance can have up to 16 Layers, where new layers can be created by adding a new layer or by duplicating an existing layer, and each layer can have up to 16 modules. The new granular oscillator introduced in version 3 applies granular synthesis on a single sample, multisample, or wavetable to generate its output, and features up to 16 "voices" with each having up to 32 grains, resulting in up to 512 grains per oscillator. A wavetable editor lets the generated wavetable be saved in SynthMaster 3's own format, or exported in WAV format to be used in other wavetable synths, with the number of exported frames settable between 2 and 256. It also adds Arp/Sequencer Randomization, where each step in an arpeggiator or sequencer can have random values for trigger, hold, and slide parameters, and oscillators support spread parameters for volume, pan, detune, symmetry, x morph, and y morph. System requirements are a 2.0 GHz CPU with Intel SSE3 instruction set, 2 GB RAM, Windows 7 and above or macOS 10.9 and above, with Pro Tools 11 and above for AAX. A demo version is available, identical to the standard version apart from stated limitations. SynthMaster 3 expansion packs are sold separately, with 8 currently available specifically for version 3. #SynthMaster3 #SynthMaster #KV331Audio #ModularSynth #Synthesizer #VAnalog #Additive #Wavetable #Granular #FM #PhaseDistortion #PhysicalModeling #SFZ #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST2 #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
