It explores the extremes of stacked sawtooth waves, pushing one of electronic music's most recognisable synth sounds further than it was designed to go, and it adapts A. G. Cook's layered supersaw production techniques for a dedicated plug-in. The project was developed over two years, with Native Instruments' design team working from Cook's existing sounds and production sessions — which is why the instrument reproduces a specific working method rather than a generic saw sound. Shape what comes next — you can go from zero to chaos and back again with playable stacked saw synthesis, create euphoric harmonies, ravey leads, and evolving motion for trance, hyperpop, and beyond. The Morpher is the central control: its XY control gives you instant movement, expression, and playability, and it makes it simple to move between sound states, reshape timbre, or randomise for unexpected results. You can also shape envelope, modulation, and voice behaviour, giving you detailed control without slowing down performance, and instant effects like chorus, delay, reverb, and glide push sounds from dry stacks to wide, evolving motion.
