SubLab is Future Audio Workshop's sub-bass synthesizer, described as the hardest hitting sub-bass every time — a new class of instrument designed specifically for hip-hop, future bass, and trap genres. Its goal is to create powerful 808-style sub-bass that sounds punchy on every speaker, every time, addressing the fundamental translation problem where bass mixes well in one environment and vanishes in another. It combines three sound engines: Sampler, Synth, and X-Sub.

The Sample Engine provides a factory library of 250 kicks and 808s with drag-and-drop support for your own, plus delayed sample start for delayed 808s, an internal maximizer for expanding and distorting, loop mode so any sample can be sustained, and lo-cut and hi-cut filtering for sculpting. The X-Sub engine is a psychoacoustic sub-bass oscillator that always keeps your notes in the sub range and lets you control the exact harmonics to create the perfect sub bass. It ships with 6 signature Bass Packs (Richie Souf Signature Subs, Hits DNA Vol. 1, Sean Divine Bass, Crushed, and Analog Machines) and 250 bonus kick samples recorded from hard-hitting drum machines including the original Roland TR-808, Make Noise modules, JoMoX MBase 11, and Vermona Mono Lancet '15. It runs as VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX, tested in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, Studio One, Pro Tools, and Cubase, is NKS ready for Maschine and Komplete Kontrol, and works on macOS 10.13 and higher and Windows 8 and higher. One activation code covers use on up to three computers.
