The SSL 4000 Series Console Bundle is Waves' complete modelling of the legendary SSL 4000 console, developed under license from Solid State Logic. The collection gives you channel strips from the acclaimed E- and G-series, classic mic preamps, both "black" and "brown" knob EQ options, and the famed SSL bus compressor — so a DAW does not merely sound like an SSL, it becomes one. The significance of that combination is that the entire signal path is available, letting the console's character be applied consistently across a session rather than in isolated pieces.

The two channel strip flavours let you choose your sound: classic E-series or modern G-series, and either way you get the SSL VCA compressor and gate for dynamics, plus the SSL G-Master Bus Compressor for gluing mixes together. That makes the bundle suitable for tracking, mixing, and mastering in any genre where the SSL sound is appropriate — which, given its ubiquity on records since the 1980s, is most of them. Titles run in VST3, AU, and AAX formats on macOS and Windows, supporting Intel and Apple Silicon CPUs. Note that the SSL E-Channel and SSL G-Channel require a minimum screen resolution of 1280x1024 / 1600x1024.
