Spire EDM Essentials Vol.2 continues the series, and its purpose is stated in the developer's own positioning: this Spire preset pack expands the Spire synthesizer with additional professionally designed sounds aimed at modern electronic production, and it provides mix-ready sounds without requiring deep sound design. The value of a second volume in a series is straightforward — the first volume establishes the palette and the second extends it, typically deepening the categories a genre uses most rather than introducing new ones.

Its contents follow the documented series pattern: genre-focused sounds such as leads, basses, plucks, and pads, created for modern EDM, trance, progressive, and melodic production, where preset bundles like this allow Spire users to quickly access polished electronic sounds while keeping full control for further editing and customization. For buyers comparing volumes, the series' scale is documented: Vol.1 contains 110 presets for Spire & ReSpire, and Vol.3 contains 128 presets plus 200 WAV one-shots and drum loops. Across the series, the performance convention holds — most of the patches are transformable by ModWheel, PitchBend, and Aftertouch controllers — which suits Spire's architecture of 4 multimode polymorphing oscillators with 9 unison voices each and 15 matrix slots with two sources and four targets. Requirements are a licensed copy of Spire, running on Windows 7 to Windows 11 (32/64-bit) or macOS 10.15+ with Intel or Apple M1, in VST, VST2/VST3, AU, AAX, and CLAP formats. It suits EDM, trance, progressive, and melodic electronic production. It sits alongside the developer's wider preset catalogue, which includes Spire Trance Essentials Vol.2 and Vol.3, Synthwave Vol.2, Into The Deep Vol.1–3, Spire 90s Dance Essentials, and Total Drum & Complex Fills.
