About SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones Upgrade from Sonarworks Reference 3 or 4 Studio Edition
This upgrade takes owners of Sonarworks Reference 3 or 4 Studio Edition to SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones, the current generation of the calibration platform. It carries forward the core capability that made the software a studio standard — a flat target curve used by more than 200,000 music creators globally — and adds the features developed since. Two stand out: Custom Target, which allows target curve adjustments in real time, and Translation Check, which simulates more than 20 different devices and environments so you can hear how a mix will behave elsewhere.
The package includes a standalone app for Speakers and Headphones using ASIO, WASAPI, APO, and HAL drivers, a DAW plugin in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats, and averaged profiles for 500+ supported headphone models. Speaker measurement requires the SoundID Reference Measurement Microphone, and the audio interface must support and be set to 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88 kHz, 96 kHz, or 192 kHz. Calibration profiles can be exported to supported hardware, and there is native support for Apple Silicon (M-series). It works in all major DAWs including Cubase, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Reaper, Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Studio One.
