LABS Soft Piano is a world-renowned free virtual instrument (VST) created by Spitfire Audio to provide music producers, film scorers, and beatmakers with a soft, muted acoustic piano character. The instrument was sampled by placing a thin strip of felt between the hammers and strings of a vintage Yamaha U3 upright piano, capturing the subtle mechanical thumps, pedal releases, and delicate key attacks.
