Cherry Audio SH-MAX is a virtual analog synthesizer inspired by three classic 1970s SH-series instruments: the SH-5, SH-7, and SH-3A. It combines dual oscillators, ring modulation, noise, sample & hold, filter FM, autobend, and two parallel filter sections with low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass modes. SH-MAX supports monophonic, duophonic, unison, and 16-voice polyphonic operation, while its adjustable oscillator, filter, amplifier, and envelope drift controls add analog-style variation. It also includes over 300 presets, four-channel step sequencing, four independent effects chains with 20 studio effects, and MIDI control and DAW automation. SH-MAX is available in AU, VST, VST3, and AAX formats for 64-bit Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.13 or later, with Intel and Apple Silicon support on Mac.
