Session Percussionist is an intuitive drum and percussion library with over 2000 customizable patterns and an advanced step sequencer, built to craft detailed and authentic performances. Its distinguishing architecture is that it provides a percussion ensemble containing up to five players — you can load entire ensembles including instruments and patterns for every player, and change instruments and patterns for each player individually. That makes it possible to build a full percussion arrangement rather than stacking loops. The content is substantial and specific: over 2000 rhythmic patterns performed by renowned session musicians along with 58 meticulously sampled instruments, with 232 instrument presets and smart pattern searching to speed up your creative process. Advanced pages let you precisely adjust patterns and mixer settings for each player, and intuitive sound controls add depth and dimension. On NI keyboards equipped with Light Guide, the keyboard mirrors the colors used in the ensemble: the lower global octave is mint and the layout colour-codes players, which makes multi-player editing legible at a glance. It was created in collaboration with Big Wave Audio — the team behind Icon Bass, Prime Bass, Electric Sunburst Deluxe, Electric Vintage, Electric Storm Deluxe, Strummed Acoustic, Picked Acoustic, Session Percussionist, Acoustic Sunburst Deluxe, and more. It is a KOMPLETE Instrument requiring the free KONTAKT PLAYER version 7.7 or KONTAKT version 7.7 and higher, running on macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats with NKS support. It suits pop, hip hop, world, Latin, and cinematic production. #SessionPercussionist #NativeInstruments #Percussion #DrumLibrary #Patterns #StepSequencer #Ensemble #KOMPLETE #Kontakt #SessionMusicians #LightGuide #NKS #WorldMusic #Latin #Pop #HipHop #FilmScore #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #LogicPro #Cubase
