Session Guitarist – Picked Acoustic covers the picked side of the acoustic Session Guitarist range — the counterpart to the strummed instruments. Picking is a distinct technique: individual strings are plucked in patterns, producing arpeggiated figures, fingerstyle accompaniment, and melodic ostinato that a strumming engine cannot generate, which is why the series separates the two. It suits singer-songwriter, folk, indie, pop, and cinematic production, and works wherever an acoustic guitar part needs articulation rather than chords. The series architecture applies: a dynamic pattern search function so you can find what you need fast, and then you simply play a chord for authentic results, with riffs and picked patterns alongside the core engine — the same approach documented for Electric Sunburst, which uses the same realistic strumming engine found in STRUMMED ACOUSTIC 1 and 2 while adding riffs and picked patterns. The sound suite comprises a high-quality suite of effects, amps, and cabinet emulations, with three distortion and four modulation effects providing the sound of classic pedals, alongside five amplifier models and a choice of ten cabinets, plus studio-grade compressors, EQs, reverbs, delays, and creative modulation effects. Pickup and microphone options are part of the design in this range, with three different microphone setups to choose from for the acoustic instruments. It is a KOMPLETE Instrument requiring the free KONTAKT PLAYER or full KONTAKT, running on macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats with NKS support, and it is created in collaboration with drumasonic — the team behind Electric Sunburst, Electric Vintage, Strummed Acoustic, Strummed Acoustic 2, Picked Acoustic, and Picked Nylon. #SessionGuitarist #PickedAcoustic #NativeInstruments #AcousticGuitar #Fingerstyle #Picking #PatternSearch #MicrophoneSetups #KOMPLETE #Kontakt #NKS #SingerSongwriter #Folk #Indie #Pop #Cinematic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #LogicPro #Cubase #FLStudio
