Session Bassist – Prime Bass is described as authentic, playable, classic, delivering the essential low-end tone of an iconic, single-coil electric bass guitar. The source is specific: PRIME BASS delivers the classic sound of one of the world's most iconic electric basses, captured from an original 1981 cherry sunburst solid-body bass guitar, built in the USA. The instrument's pickup signal was recorded through the DI input of a vintage Universal Audio M-610 preamp, which is why the library has the warm, saturated, slightly compressed character associated with that signal path. Its content comprises over 350 playable patterns and phrases across a range of genres, delivered as a pattern-based bass library with a sophisticated multisample set, designed to deliver authentic-sounding bass lines, patterns, and riffs for songwriting and music production, with 350 discrete performance patterns with round-robin variants and velocities in multiple fret positions over the range of three octaves, across 81 song presets. Articulations cover slap, pick, and finger, with options for 4/4, 3/4, and triplet patterns. The key feature is its revolutionary playback engine: you can seamlessly switch between different patterns, and also alter the dynamics in real-time, thus creating true-to-life musical performances, and you can drag and drop patterns into your DAW. A Melody instrument provides a full three-octave playable keyboard layout for crafting your own basslines and solo melodies. Sound-shaping includes an authentic emulation of the real instrument's tone control, an input drive control to add saturation at the input stage, a built-in effects chain, and a range of amps and cabinets, including two new KONTAKT bass amp additions — Bass Invader and Bass Pro. It is created in collaboration with drumasonic — the team behind Electric Sunburst, Electric Vintage, Strummed Acoustic, Strummed Acoustic 2, Picked Acoustic, and Picked Nylon. It is a KOMPLETE Instrument requiring the free KONTAKT PLAYER version 6.7 and higher, or KONTAKT version 6.7 and higher, fully NKS compliant for seamless integration within Native Instruments' Komplete Kontrol hardware ecosystem, running on macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats. It suits pop, rock, soul, funk, hip hop, and singer-songwriter production. #SessionBassist #PrimeBass #NativeInstruments #ElectricBass #BassGuitar #Patterns #Phrases #MelodyInstrument #KOMPLETE #Kontakt #NKS #Drumasonic #BassAmp #Slap #Pick #Fingerstyle #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #LogicPro #Cubase #FLStudio
