Session Bassist – Icon Bass is the entry that began the Session Bassist range, capturing a four-string electric bass guitar in KOMPLETE Instrument form. Alongside Prime Bass, Jam Bass, and Upright Bass, it forms a set that covers the bass instruments most session work requires, and it shares the series' design premise: a pattern-based bass library combined with a sophisticated multisample set, designed to deliver authentic-sounding bass lines, patterns, and riffs for songwriting and music production. The series architecture provides a pattern engine with playable patterns and phrases across genres alongside a melody instrument for crafting your own lines, together with round robin variants and velocities in multiple fret positions over a range of three octaves, and a playback engine that lets you seamlessly switch between patterns and alter the dynamics in real time, creating true-to-life musical performances, with patterns draggable into your DAW. Sound-shaping across the range includes an authentic emulation of the real instrument's tone control, an input drive control to add saturation at the input stage, a built-in effects chain, and a range of amps and cabinets. Icon Bass was created in collaboration with Big Wave Audio — the award-winning team behind Icon Bass, Prime Bass, Electric Sunburst Deluxe, Electric Vintage, Electric Storm Deluxe, Strummed Acoustic, Picked Acoustic, Session Percussionist, Acoustic Sunburst Deluxe, and more. It is a KOMPLETE Instrument requiring the free KONTAKT PLAYER version 7.1.8 or KONTAKT version 7.1.8 and higher, running on macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats with NKS support, and fully NKS compliant for seamless integration within Native Instruments' Komplete Kontrol hardware ecosystem. It suits pop, rock, soul, funk, and singer-songwriter production. #SessionBassist #IconBass #NativeInstruments #ElectricBass #BassGuitar #FourString #Patterns #Phrases #MelodyInstrument #KOMPLETE #Kontakt #NKS #BigWaveAudio #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #LogicPro #Cubase #FLStudio #AbletonLive
