Serum Expansion Pack: Dark contains 64 expertly crafted presets to suit all of your eerie sonic-based productions, and its category breakdown is unusually precise: 8 Basses, 2 Bells, 2 Drones, 5 FX, 3 Keys, 7 Leads, 4 Motions, 10 Pads, 5 Plucks, 1 Organ, 4 Sequences, 7 Stabs, 3 Textures, and 3 Wobbles. That distribution is worth reading for what it reveals — pads are the largest single category at 10, with leads, basses, and stabs making up the bulk of the rest, a weighting that suits dark electronic production where atmosphere and weight matter more than melodic content, while the Drones, Textures, Motions, and Wobbles categories collectively supply continuous and rhythmic movement. The design intent is stated as emotive, deep, solid sounding presets combined with unique sounding FX, designed through explored and utilised routings, so that Dark Serum will help you shake the dancefloors of any genre with the darkest of vibes. It has also served as a promotional bundle item — Plugin Boutique offered the Dark Serum Expansion Pack free with a purchase of the Xfer Serum synth, worth noting since some Serum owners may already hold it. Requirements are Xfer Records Serum, and installation follows the distributor's documented route: save the main folder to a location of your choice, open Serum, click the Menu tab at the top-right of the interface, choose Show Serum Presets folder, and place the content in Serum's preset directory. A useful comparator in the same territory is Loopmasters' Dark Cinematic – Serum Presets, which brings a large selection of dark atmospheres with some really interesting movement which can add some real mood to a song or even a film score — a scoring-oriented pack rather than a club one, and worth distinguishing so buyers know which dark pack suits their purpose. Presets run inside the host on macOS and Windows wherever Serum runs. It suits dark electronic music, techno, bass music, and film and game scoring. #SerumExpansionDark #DarkSerum #Serum #XferRecords #ExpansionPack #Presets #Dark #Eerie #Basses #Drones #Pads #Wobbles #Techno #BassMusic #FilmScore #SoundDesign #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
