McDSP SA-3 Spectral Processor is a spectral resonance suppression and dynamic EQ processor based on the algorithms of the Emmy Award-winning SA-2 Dialog Processor. It analyzes the incoming signal across more than 1,000 processing bands, allowing it to identify and reduce unwanted spectral spikes, resonances, and persistent overtones across the frequency spectrum. Detect controls the sensitivity of the detection system, while Monitor allows the removed signal to be auditioned for more precise processing.

SA-3 provides Focus, Range, Density, and user-programmable Bias Curve controls for determining where and how strongly spectral processing is applied. The stereo version supports Mid/Side processing, while sidechain input can be used to target resonances in response to another signal. A dedicated LCD display provides spectral metering for gain reduction, output, and removed signal, with mono and stereo versions available. The Native v7 plugin supports AAX Native, AU, and VST3 on Windows and macOS.
