Antelope Audio RD47 is an authentic recreation of the valve line amplifiers from the EMI REDD.51 console, which helped define the sound of Abbey Road Studios during the 1960s. The original hardware was used throughout the signal path, including microphone preamps, line outputs, hardware sends, and monitor outputs. RD47 recreates its tube-driven analog punch and harmonic coloration, with an expanded gain range that allows the processor to move from relatively clean amplification to heavily saturated tones.

RD47 adds modern controls including Output Trim and Release, providing additional control over output level and the behavior of the processed signal. Its flexible design makes it suitable for microphone preamp coloration, line-level processing, effects sends, monitor paths, and creative saturation, particularly on vocals, guitars, drums, bass, and other sources that benefit from vintage tube character. The plugin runs natively on Windows and macOS in VST3, AU, and AAX formats, with a Synergy Core real-time version available for compatible Antelope Audio interfaces.
