RA is one of EastWest's longest-established world instrument libraries, and its scope is documented by region: the collection features instruments from six global regions: Africa, Americas and Australia, Europe, Far East, India, and the Middle East and Turkish Empire. That regional organisation is the library's practical value — it is a broad survey rather than a deep study of any single tradition, which suits composers who need the right colour for a scene rather than a specialist library per region. The title appears in the producer credits of Nick Phoenix among award-winning software titles such as the Hollywood Series, Stormdrum 1, 2 and 3, Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Choirs, Silk, RA, Voices Of Passion, Ministry Of Rock 2, Gypsy, Quantum Leap Pianos, Goliath, and many others — placing it within one of the most extensive production catalogues in virtual instruments.

Content of this kind typically includes plucked and bowed strings, winds, percussion, and vocal material from each region, with articulations appropriate to each instrument and often phrases and loops alongside playable instruments. It includes "Opus" as a sample player, available as standalone or plug-in in AAX Native, AU, VST2, and VST3 on Mac and Windows, and is available as a perpetual licence or via ComposerCloud+, consistent with the developer's other libraries. Requirements for Opus libraries are macOS 10.15 or higher (64-bit) or Windows 10 or higher (64-bit with an ASIO sound driver), with a quad-core CPU (octa-core recommended) at 2.7 GHz or higher, 16 GB RAM (32 GB or more recommended), and an SSD hard drive (SATA or PCIe). It suits film, television, and game scoring, world music production, and any work requiring a regional instrumental colour. Confirm the current edition, contents, and download size on the product page, since this title has been reissued across EastWest's engine generations and the content differs between them.
