Rob Papen QUAD is a 16-voice virtual synthesizer originally developed as a Rack Extension for Reason and later released as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin. It features two oscillators with classic waveforms, sub-oscillators, oscillator cross-modulation, Phase Distortion, and WaveShaper processing. Each oscillator has dedicated XY-Pad modulation, while an extensive modulation matrix allows the pads and other modulation sources to control multiple synthesis parameters.

QUAD also includes two analog-modeled multimode filters with flexible routing, two LFOs, envelopes, a 16-step arpeggiator, and two built-in effects processors. Its combination of filter routing, stereo panning, cross modulation, and XY performance controls makes it suitable for basses, leads, pads, sequences, evolving textures, and experimental electronic sounds. The current plugin is available for Windows and macOS, with more than 830 presets included.
