Pure SUB is a bass-focused software synthesizer developed by Arturia around three independently controllable layers: Sub, Harmonics, and Texture. The Sub section generates the fundamental frequency with separate control over level, phase, octave, and modulation, while Sub Regen can restore a clean fundamental after processing to maintain stable low-end phase and amplitude. The Harmonics section offers Pressure and Reese modes for creating everything from focused 808-style tones to wide, dense bass sounds, while the Texture section adds additional character through Noise Sample and Corroder modes using ring modulation, amplitude modulation, distortion, and noise, sine, saw, and square sources.

Pure SUB also includes more than 40 filter modes, a Sub Processor with 33 modes for distortion, texture, and tonal reshaping, and an FX Rack containing 18 effects across 12 slots. Its finishing section includes EQ, compression, multiband processing, and a Maximiser with Soft and Hard modes. For modulation, it provides three envelopes—including a dedicated Pitch Envelope—six flexible modulation slots, four assignable macros, modulation sidechain, keyboard modulation, and MPE support. The instrument comes with 300 presets and supports standalone operation as well as VST, VST3, AAX, Audio Unit, and NKS formats. It runs on 64-bit Windows 10 or later and macOS 11 or later, with Apple Silicon support on Mac.
