Pro DeBleed solves the persistent problem of bleed between microphones when recording drums — the hi-hat in the snare channel, cymbals in the toms, kick in everything else. Where conventional gating leaves artefacts and spectral processing often colours the source, Pro DeBleed approaches the problem with physics-informed processing, and the developer describes the result as achieving natural and musical results even in the hardest situations. It is part of the Evertone range, whose products share a physics calculation engine based on the F=ma equation of motion. That technical basis is what distinguishes it from a gate: rather than switching the signal on and off, it removes unwanted content while preserving the natural decay and character of the drum it is meant to keep.
