Output Portal is a granular effects plugin designed to transform incoming audio into completely new textures and rhythmic patterns. It uses granular processing to break audio into small fragments and rearrange, stretch, repeat, pitch-shift, and manipulate them in real time. Its main Grain Engine provides controls for grain size, density, movement, and pitch, while the XY pad gives direct control over multiple parameters for quickly exploring different textures. Portal can be used on vocals, drums, synths, samples, guitars, and complete mixes.

Portal includes fourteen granular algorithms, over 250 factory presets, and a flexible modulation system for creating evolving and highly animated effects. Its integrated effects section provides filtering, distortion, delay, reverb, and other processing options, while the sequencer allows rhythmic patterns and gated effects to be created directly inside the plugin. It is particularly suited to electronic music, hip-hop, ambient production, experimental sound design, transitions, and cinematic effects.
