Omnisphere Expansion Pack: Immersion is presented under the heading cinematic electronica pads and atmospheres, with the developer's framing that the sky's the limit with Immersion — the latest and greatest in mood-building preset packs for Spectrasonics' Omnisphere synth, and unlock your pass to the most melodic depths of the universe with Immersion — the very best in atmosphere-shaping packs for Omnisphere. Its contents are documented precisely, and the breakdown is unusually clean: 64 Presets for Omnisphere, comprising 12 Noisescapes, 44 Pads and Strings, and 8 Texture Soundscapes. That split is worth reading for a catalogue, because pads and strings at 44 of 64 make this predominantly a sustained-material bank, with noisescapes supplying the abstract, non-pitched layer and texture soundscapes the mid-ground between the two — which is the correct weighting for a bank intended to provide beds under other material, since a cue needs one or two long textures rather than a dozen short patches. The product's positioning against the wider Omnisphere preset market is worth stating, since the market is crowded and buyers need to distinguish products. Omnisphere: Cinematic II from Audiority is the documented comparator, and the contrast is instructive: Cinematic II is 100 new modern presets designed for Dark Ambient, Film, Soundtrack and Underscore, broken down as 26 Arp + Rhythm, 5 Drums, 10 Impact + Hits, 10 Oneshot Hits (Risers + Whooshes), 10 Synth Bass, 33 Pads + Textures, and 6 Keyboards — so where Cinematic II spreads across impacts, risers, rhythm, and bass as well as pads, Immersion concentrates almost entirely on sustained atmospheric material. A buyer wanting transition and impact tools alongside pads should look to the cinematic banks; a buyer wanting beds should look here. A requirement applies and should be stated: Spectrasonics Omnisphere is required to run this Expansion Pack. Installation follows the range's documented route: double-click the preset folder to extract its contents, creating a new folder named after the soundbank, then drag and drop or copy the entire folder into your Omnisphere Presets folder. It is distributed by Plugin Boutique and carries a 4.7 rating, and it participates in an Omnisphere Expansions Bundle at $39.00 list, $12.00 on sale (69% off). It suits film and television scoring, ambient production, ambient electronica, and sound design, and the bank's concentration on beds makes it useful specifically for the part of a cue that sits underneath everything else. #OmnisphereImmersion #Omnisphere #Spectrasonics #ExpansionPack #SoundBank #CinematicElectronica #Pads #Strings #Textures #Noisescapes #Soundscapes #Ambient #FilmScore #Television #SoundDesign #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
