Octane & DLR – Drum & Bass FM8 Presets is a Patchworx pack built by the Octane & DLR production duo, and its content distribution reveals the intended use precisely. The 64 FM8 Soft Synth Patches included in this pack are comprised of 33 Dark, Twisted and Menacing Bass Patches, 13 Special FX Sounds, 11 Deep and Twisted Synth Patches, 6 Synths and Leads, and 1 Special Arpeggio Patch — plus 64 MIDI Files. A pack that devotes more than half its patches to bass is a pack designed for the low-end work that defines drum & bass, and FM synthesis is unusually well suited to it: inharmonic FM output produces the growling, metallic bass textures that drum & bass relies on, which sampling alone replicates imperfectly. The pack's practical value is documented: each preset comes with its own MIDI file, so you get the sound and the musical material that demonstrates it, allowing ideas to be auditioned and reworked rather than simply loaded. The requirement is stated as Native Instruments FM8 1.2.0+, and the pack is available at $24.45. It sits alongside the producer's sibling Icicle Drum & Bass FM8 Presets pack within the Patchworx range, and joins a wider corpus of Patchworx releases covering Serum, Massive, FM8, Sylenth1, Spire, and other synthesizers across house, techno, drum & bass, trance, and bass music genres. Native Instruments FM8 is required to run the full contents of this software. It suits drum & bass, jungle, neurofunk, and dark bass music production, with presets running inside the host synthesizer on macOS and Windows wherever FM8 runs. #OctaneAndDLR #FM8 #NativeInstruments #Patchworx #Loopmasters #DrumAndBass #Jungle #Neurofunk #BassMusic #Bass #PresetPack #MIDIFiles #FMSynthesis #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
