D16 Group Nepheton 2 is a software emulation of the legendary TR-808, meticulously recreating its characteristic kicks, snares, hi-hats, cymbals, toms, claps, and other percussion sounds. It is designed for the booming, punchy character associated with hip-hop, trap, R&B, electro, house, and other electronic styles, while providing extensive control over each individual drum sound.

Nepheton 2 adds modern production features including a built-in sequencer with Tap, Randomizer, Flam, Substep, velocity and accent controls, MIDI drag-and-drop export, and over 1,200 factory presets and patterns. Each drum channel includes EQ and compression, while two FX buses provide additional processing such as distortion, bitcrushing, delay, reverb, chorus, filtering, and dynamics. It supports VST2, VST3, and AAX on Windows 7+ and VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX on macOS 10.13–26, with Intel and Apple Silicon support.
