Monoment Bass is Softube's dedicated bass instrument, positioned around the principle of "Modern Bass. Mix-ready Bass." Rather than requiring extensive processing to sit in a mix, it is designed to produce bass sounds that arrive already fitting the track — the emphasis is on mix-readiness rather than on raw synthesis flexibility. That makes it a practical choice when a bass part needs to work quickly. Its engine centres on the Monoment Source module, also available as a standalone module, which has a built-in amplitude envelope, waveform mixing, dirt level, and aging. That combination covers the character controls most bass sounds need — level shaping, tonal blend, saturation, and a sense of component drift — without requiring additional processors. It requires macOS Big Sur 11, Monterey 12, or Ventura 13, or Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11, plus Softube and iLok accounts, and runs in AU, VST, VST3, and/or AAX hosts (Pro Tools 11.0.2 or higher for AAX).
