MODO BASS 2 is described by its developer as the industry's first physically modeled bass, and the technology's premise is that it models the entire act of playing an electric bass — player, instrument, FX, and amp rather than sampling performances. Specifically, MODO BASS recreates each string's response to the action of the "player" and the interaction of the string with the fretboard, body, and pickups of the bass instrument, which is why the instrument can respond continuously rather than switching between recorded layers. Version 2 expands the model count significantly: MODO BASS 2.0 includes the 14 original iconic basses plus 8 exciting new ones to cover any style of music. You'll find 6 new eclectic models, including 2 legendary fretless basses plus 2 double-bass instruments, for 22 models for a limitless variety of bass sounds. Additional specification detail includes 32 faithfully recreated, interchangeable iconic bass pickups with volume, the ability to choose active or passive electronics with parametric EQ, an under-bridge piezo pickup with blend, and — new in version 2 — the capacity to turn any standard electric bass into a fretless bass using MODO's new controls, plus 2 double-bass models with a dedicated room and mics for creating the perfect sound. The signal path is fully controllable: with MODO BASS, you have full control over the signal path and get 7 bass effect stompbox effects and two classic bass amplifiers. Choose from an Octaver, Distortion, Chorus, Compressor, Delay, Envelope Filter, or Graphic EQ, with each stomp box derived from the world-class models in AmpliTube Custom Shop, configured in a 4-slot chain, and a global bypass feature that allows you to route the bass signal from MODO BASS into another amp effects modeling suite like AmpliTube Custom Shop. It offers an ultra-small memory footprint, an optimized resizable interface, works as a 64-bit plug-in or standalone instrument for Mac/PC, and supports full MIDI control with MIDI learn and keyswitches plus full DAW automation control. Editions include MODO BASS 2 with all 22 models, the free MODO BASS 2 CS with 1 bass model, and MODO MAX, which includes MODO BASS 2 and MODO DRUM 1.5. It suits rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz, and metal production. #MODOBASS2 #MODO #IKMultimedia #PhysicalModeling #BassInstrument #ElectricBass #Fretless #DoubleBass #AmpliTube #Pickups #Stompboxes #MIDI #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #StudioOne #ProTools
