Mini Grand is an acoustic piano instrument described by its developer with a deliberate framing of what a piano means in production: the piano — perhaps more than any other single instrument — conveys the whole range of musical thoughts and emotions like nothing else can. The instrument's design is built around choice rather than a single capture, and its features are: premium quality piano samples, 7 selectable piano models covering a wide range of piano sounds, re-pedaling technology, recreating super realistic string resonance behavior, built in room simulation, and equal and stretched tuning available.

Re-pedaling deserves a note in the listing because it is a specific behaviour rather than a marketing term: it models what happens when the sustain pedal is depressed after a note has been struck, so the note's resonance responds to the pedal rather than simply switching, which is audible in pedalled ballad playing and is one of the details that separates a convincing piano from a static one. The choice between equal and stretched tuning similarly matters — stretched tuning widens intervals across the keyboard to match how pianos are actually tuned, producing a richer, more authentic top end — and the built-in room simulation places the instrument without external reverb. Requirements are Windows 10 and 11 or Mac OS 13 to Mac OS 15, and the instrument is compatible with AU and VST only, with the note that an AAX version is available in AIR Creative Collection, requiring 172 MB free disk space on Windows and 364 MB on Mac, a 64-bit compatible host application, and a minimum dual-core 2 GHz CPU (Intel Core i5 or i7 recommended). Importantly, this software requires an internet connection to authorize and a free iLok account. Distributor listings note 4 GB RAM minimum and 10 GB HD storage minimum, with iLok License Manager required. It suits pop, rock, ballad, classical, and singer-songwriter production, and is a very affordable piano option, frequently discounted.
