Melodic Techno Serum is a preset pack for Xfer Records Serum oriented toward melodic techno — the genre that occupies the space between techno's rhythmic drive and progressive house's emotional melodic content, and which depends on long, evolving arpeggios, atmospheric pads, deep rolling basses, and plaintive lead lines. Serum's wavetable oscillators, flexible modulation, and high-quality built-in effects make it well suited to the genre, since melodic techno production leans heavily on slow, modulated wavetable movement. Packs in this category typically supply basses, leads, arpeggios, pads, plucks, and effects, organised by type, often with macros assigned so the essential movement is performable, and frequently with matching MIDI files so the melodic content is reusable. The official Serum preset store lists 21 Melodic Techno preset packs spanning Melodic Techno, EDM, and Deep House, indicating how well-served the genre is — and how important it is to identify the specific pack and publisher in your catalogue entry, since the name is descriptive rather than unique. Presets require a licensed copy of Xfer Records Serum, and note that Serum 2 is a separate generation; some modern packs include a Serum 2 preset pack for full compatibility and ease of install with the latest version, while older packs specify Serum version 1.213 or higher. It suits melodic techno, progressive house, and atmospheric club production. Presets run inside the host synthesizer on macOS and Windows wherever Serum runs. #MelodicTechnoSerum #Serum #XferRecords #MelodicTechno #PresetPack #Presets #Wavetables #Arpeggios #Pads #ProgressiveHouse #Techno #DeepHouse #SoundDesign #ElectronicMusic #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
