Excite Audio Lifeline Expanse is a modular multi-effects processor designed to add character, space, and width through a workflow inspired by real-world re-amping and recording techniques. It combines five processing modules—Re-Amp, Dirt, Format, Width, and Space—with 20 algorithms that can be rearranged to create more than 1,000 possible processing combinations. Each module provides its own focused controls and multiband processing, allowing effects to be applied selectively across the frequency spectrum.

The Re-Amp module provides eight speaker and recording-environment emulations, while Dirt offers four saturation and distortion algorithms. Format provides four audio-resolution reduction effects, Width includes four stereo-processing algorithms, and Space contains four reverb algorithms with internal sidechain ducking. Lifeline Expanse also includes 350 presets, 250 module presets, low/high-cut filtering, dry/wet control, phase correlation metering, and zero-latency processing. It is available for Windows and macOS in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats, with a standalone version and native Apple Silicon support.
