Le Parisien is described as an accordion collection for Kontakt, and it is a sample library for Kontakt based on three accordions, offering a faithful recreation of the sound and behaviour of the real instruments. The three instruments are named individually: the Rouge, Blanc, and Noir, each providing unique tonal textures, where the Rouge boasts five registers, while the Blanc and Noir offer two each. That variety matters because accordion registers change the reed configuration and therefore the character — from single-reed musette-free clarity to full multi-reed richness. Its contents and workflow are documented in detail. It was recorded with three mic positions and multiple round-robin in a perfect studio environment, with a size of 3.55 GB across 6,198 samples, and round robin of 6. The library's most distinctive feature addresses a real problem in programming accordion: accordionists are able to play accompaniments using the left hand while playing melodies with the right hand. You can also do that with Le Parisien. Wavesfactory have included a chord recognizer that will trigger different chords directly recorded from the accordion, and with the included sequencer you can create patterns that can be easily played with the left hand while the right hand plays melodies on top. It offers sustained notes in all the registers that the original instrument has, but also full chords (major, minor) and bass notes, with a v1.0.1 update adding the ability to select any MIDI CC for controlling dynamics and new extra patches with chords and bass notes mapped across the keyboard, one type of chord per octave. Additional controls include dynamic range — set how much difference in volume there is between the loudest and the softest intensities, and sample start, since the volume of the notes are fully dependant on the amount of air pump, offsettable for quicker starts. Requirements are Kontakt 5.7.3 and newer versions, and a full version of Kontakt is required — Kontakt Player will run in demo mode. It is priced at €59.00 / $59.00. It suits chanson, musette, folk, film and television scoring, and world music. #LeParisien #Wavesfactory #Accordion #Kontakt #FullKontaktRequired #Musette #Chanson #Folk #WorldMusic #ChordRecogniser #Sequencer #RoundRobin #MicPositions #FilmScore #Television #MusicProduction #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #Reaper
