Latin Vibes 2 Strum GS-2 Sound Bank is a sound pack for Applied Acoustics Systems' Strum GS-2, and its companion in the catalogue is documented: Brazil Now, also by Thiago Pinheiro, described as capturing the ever-evolving spirit of Brazilian music, together with the grooves that belong to it. The pairing positions the two packs as a Brazilian set and a broader Latin set from the same producer, which is useful to state so buyers know how they relate — Brazil Now covering bossa nova, samba, and choro territory, and Latin Vibes 2 extending into wider Latin American styles.

Its host is your new session guitarist, offering 250+ acoustic and electric guitar presets and 700+ strumming loop patterns, using physical modeling rather than sampling. That approach brings the documented benefits: sound manipulation at the source core, presets loading in a flash, super smooth dynamics with no velocity layers, a small memory footprint of less than 256 MB of RAM per instance, and installation in less than a minute — the "no velocity layers" point being the significant one for a strumming instrument, since it means dynamics respond continuously rather than by switching between recorded levels. The instrument is $199, and Strum GS-2 +PACKS bundles the instrument, the factory library, and 20 sound packs at $399 list, $199 on sale. Sound packs are priced at $39 regular, $19 on sale, and the developer notes that the packs can be purchased individually and played via our free AAS Player — so a buyer can use the packs without purchasing the full instrument. AAS, founded in 1998 and based in Montreal, is having released Tassman, the first virtual instrument based on physical modeling, and having come to be recognized as the industry leader in this exciting new field of synthesis. It suits Latin, Brazilian, bossa nova, salsa, jazz, and Latin jazz production, and the range sits alongside Strum GS-2's other packs including Synchronicity, also by Thiago Pinheiro, and Nashville Sky. It runs as VST, VST3, AU, and AAX with NKS support, on macOS and Windows.
