About Kontakt 8 Upgrade from Kontakt 2-7

Kontakt 8 Upgrade from Kontakt 2-7 is the discounted route for existing Kontakt owners to the current generation. The process is documented by the developer: simply choose the Update version of Kontakt 8 during checkout. It's offered at a special price and includes all the features of the full version. Once purchased, Kontakt 8 will be available for installation as a new application in Native Access. The Kontakt 1–8 base products all qualify for Native Instruments' update and upgrade paths, as the qualifying-products table confirms. The version 8 additions fall into three areas and are worth naming in a listing, since they benefit every Kontakt library a user already owns, old and new. Tools — Chords and Phrases Tools deliver MIDI content and randomization features for creating melodies and sequences, sparking new ideas fast. Works with any Kontakt instrument. Leap — the new Leap framework lets you play and perform loops and one-shot samples. It comes with new perform effects and a streamlined interface to quickly customize samples, and Kontakt 8 includes twelve new Leap Expansions — handpicked loops for specific genres and styles, from 80s New Wave to Afrobeats, Latin Trap, and more (with two, Lo-Fi Vibes and Acoustic Drums, included free with Kontakt Player). Conflux — a new hybrid instrument using enhanced wavetable oscillators that allows you to modulate organic and synth-based sounds in real-time, alongside a built-in instrument called Piano Uno described as an easy-to-use piano instrument, great for kickstarting creative ideas. The interface is substantially reworked: Kontakt 8 comes with a new Default view with a new side pane navigator and browser, where browsing can now filter by preset types (Instruments, Combined, Tools, Leap, Loops, One-shots), plus high-DPI support for its browser, Factory Library, Leap, Tools, and Conflux. Effects came across from Traktor: Beat Masher, Beat Slicer, Gater, Reverse Grain, and Transpose Stretch, along with new amp and stomp effects like Super Fast 100, Chainsaw, Kolor, and Skreamer Deluxe. A new framework called Komplete UI enables instrument builders to create high-DPI interfaces, which many upcoming libraries will utilize, using a new language called Komplete Script. The FAQ addresses the obvious question: existing DAW projects created with older Kontakt versions continue to work, with Kontakt 8 available for installation as a new application in Native Access. There is also a free Kontakt 8 Player that can run all of Native Instruments' sample-based instruments, as well as third-party products made especially for the Kontakt 8 Player platform, where instruments made for Kontakt 8 Player will also run in the full version of Kontakt. It suits every production context Kontakt serves — orchestral, cinematic, electronic, and sound design among them. #Kontakt8 #Kontakt #NativeInstruments #Sampler #SamplingPlatform #Upgrade #Leap #Tools #Conflux #PianoUno #Chords #Phrases #TraktorEffects #KompleteUI #NKS #MusicProduction #Standalone #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase
