KLANG VINTAGE SYNTH: Aetherophone is a sample-based virtual instrument inspired by the Theremin, an electronic instrument known for its eerie, expressive tones and smooth pitch glides. Designed to revisit the character of this early electronic instrument, Aetherophone offers two distinctive sounds: Geist, a wavering, modulated aerophone-style tone, and a bright, outer-space-inspired glide. These sounds provide an unusual tonal palette for creating haunting melodies, sustained notes, sci-fi effects, and atmospheric textures without requiring a physical Theremin.

Aetherophone is suited to cinematic scoring, ambient music, experimental electronic production, and sound design, particularly when a track needs an eerie or otherworldly character. As a Kontakt instrument, it loads inside Native Instruments Kontakt rather than operating as a standalone synthesizer or conventional VST plugin. It requires the full version of Kontakt 5.6.8 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it in demo mode. This makes it a focused sound-design instrument for producers who want distinctive Theremin-inspired tones within a Kontakt-based workflow.
