KLANG FREEZE: Air Piano is a sample-based piano instrument built around an upright piano played with damped strings and the sustain pedal. This playing technique produces a distinctive, muted resonance that differs from a conventional acoustic piano, creating a softer, more atmospheric character. The instrument was designed to bring this sound into modern pop and hip-hop production, where it can provide melodic foundations, subdued chord progressions, and expressive textures.

As part of KLANG's FREEZE instrument collection, Air Piano is suited to productions that need distinctive piano tones without the brightness of a traditional piano patch. Its sampled character works well for hip-hop melodies, R&B, lo-fi, ambient music, and cinematic arrangements, particularly when layered with pads, reverbs, or other atmospheric sounds. The instrument runs inside the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.6.8 or later; Kontakt Player compatibility is not listed in the product requirements.
