JUNO-60 is Roland's software recreation of the Juno-60 — the six-voice analog polysynth whose single digitally controlled oscillator per voice, famously lush chorus, and dead-simple control panel made it a defining sound of 1980s pop, new wave, and film music. The Juno's reputation rests on a paradox: its specification is modest, but its bucket-brigade chorus widens and warms a single oscillator into something far larger, which is why it remains a staple of synthwave, indie, and electronic production decades later. The recreation's architecture is documented through its effects section: overdrive and distortion modes including JUNO CHORUS 1, JUNO CHORUS 2, JUNO CHORUS 1+2, and CE-1, a delay section with types including Delay, Panning Delay, Chorus 1, Chorus 2, Flanger, and Delay + Chorus with time and level controls, and reverb with Ambience, Room, Hall 1, Hall 2, Plate, and Modulation types, all with tempo sync.
