FORM is Native Instruments' transformative sample-tracking synthesizer, offering a refreshing approach to sound creation that delivers beautifully organic and powerful results. Its mechanism is specific: once you have loaded a sample, FORM uses a Pitch Synchronous Overlap and Add (PSOLA) algorithm and built-in oscillators to analyze the audio content for resynthesis. The sample therefore becomes raw material rather than playback — its harmonic content is analysed and regenerated as a playable instrument. The design allows both speed and depth: generate original results quickly and easily with an intuitive interface, or dig deep for detailed tweaking, with an almost unlimited number of ways to modulate and cross-modulate the parameters to create sound textures that develop and change over a given time period. It includes a Shaper that shapes segments in the Form OSC, and FM that uses the additive oscillator to modulate the Form OSC. It ships with 400+ wide-ranging presets spanning bass, keys, leads, and pads as well as avant-garde SFX, soundscapes, and sequences, and is designed for KOMPLETE KONTROL. It requires a full version of REAKTOR 6.0.3 or the free REAKTOR PLAYER 6.0.3 (or later). System requirements are Windows 10 (64-bit) with an Intel Core i5 or equivalent and 4 GB RAM, or macOS 10.14, 10.15, or 11 (64-bit) with an i5 and 4 GB RAM, in Stand-alone, VST, AU, and AAX formats. An internet connection and an OpenGL 2.1 or higher graphics card are required to download and activate; afterwards it runs offline. #FORM #NativeInstruments #Reaktor #SampleTracking #PSOLA #Synth #Synthesizer #KOMPLETE #SoundDesign #Bass #Pads #Leads #Soundscapes #SFX #Experimental #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive
