AIR Music Technology Flex Beat is a beat manipulation and sound-design plugin developed in collaboration with Akai Professional. It can transform drum loops, synth parts, guitars, vocals, and other audio by manipulating pitch, timing, and volume. Its 16 performance pads provide access to pattern presets with One Shot, Loop, and Hold playback modes, making it useful for quickly introducing rhythmic movement and variation.

Flex Beat includes a detailed pattern editor with grid snapping, adjustable curves, envelope tools, and controls for shaping pitch, velocity, and timing. It also features quantized pattern launching, MIDI control, Dry/Wet mixing, and support for importing and exporting .fnv patterns compatible with Gross Beat. The desktop version supports VST2, VST3, and AU formats on Windows 10/11 and macOS 12–15, while Flex Beat is also available for supported MPC standalone hardware.
