Newfangled Audio Fixate:Midrange is an intelligent midrange EQ and dynamic spectral correction plugin built around a model of human hearing. It divides the midrange into critical bands and analyzes the energy within each band to identify common tonal problems. Six dedicated processors target mud, thinness, honk, nasalness, harshness, and overall spectral balance, with processing applied dynamically and only when the corresponding issue is detected. An automatic Analyze and FIX workflow provides quick correction, while the HINTMAP display shows where potential problems are occurring.

Fixate:Midrange also provides independent Mid/Side processing, 15-band spectral balance correction, learnable profiles, per-band solo and delta monitoring, automatic gain compensation, and a midrange-focused listening mode. Profiles can be used for mastering, vocals, guitars, dialogue, and other sources, or learned from reference audio. The plugin is available for Windows 10+ and macOS 10.14+ in AAX, AU, VST, and VST3 formats, with native Apple Silicon support.
