Evolve Elastic Lite is the reduced edition of Excite Audio's elastic-inspired sample-based synthesizer — a bold sample-based synthesizer that morphs sound into unexpected forms through sources ranging from squelching acid basslines and elastic plucks to bouncing rhythms, futuristic textures, and glossy pads. Despite being the Lite edition, the developer's framing is that it remains a pretty deep sound design tool, retaining the engine's core transformation capability. The architecture matches the full version: a quad-layer engine where each of the four layers can house either a sample-based instrument or a synth oscillator, blended between with the XY pad and shaped by the four elastic-inspired macros: Melt, Bounce, Stretch, and Gloss. Tone is refined with dual filters and a rearrangeable 3-slot FX chain supported by 16 effects modules, and modulation allows you to modulate anything with drag-and-drop envelopes, LFOs, and XY controls. The 75 included presets are enough to get a feel for what the synth wants to and can do. Eligibility for an upgrade to the full Evolve Elastic rests on ownership of the Lite licence. It runs as VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone on macOS 10.15 or higher (Intel and native Apple Silicon) and Windows 7 or higher, 64-bit only, with a recommended buffer size of 512 samples or higher, tested in Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, Nuendo, Reaper, and Reason. It has been offered free during promotional periods and otherwise sells at a reduced price. #EvolveElasticLite #EvolveElastic #Evolve #ExciteAudio #Lite #SampleBasedSynth #SoundDesign #Morphing #Textures #Macros #XYPAD #Modulation #ElectronicMusic #Experimental #MusicProduction #VST #VST3 #AU #AAX #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro
