Eloy Drums is a percussion instrument library built around captured performances, in the tradition of signature artist libraries where the value lies in the specific playing and tuning of a named performer rather than in generic kit sampling. Libraries of this kind typically pair multi-sampled kit pieces with played grooves and fills, so a producer can either program parts or draw on the performer's phrasing directly. Brazilian percussion and metal-influenced drumming share an emphasis on precision at speed and unusual accent placement, which is where a signature library earns its place over a stock kit.

It suits metal, rock, progressive, and world-influenced production, and is a natural fit for producers wanting aggressive, technically demanding drum parts without programming each nuance. Instruments in this category run on macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats, or as Kontakt libraries requiring the free Kontakt Player or full Kontakt.
