Electric Bass corresponds to IK Multimedia's MODO BASS range — described as the industry's first physically modeled bass and still the first and only technology that models the entire process of playing bass. The distinction from sampled instruments is documented precisely: MODO BASS recreates each string's response to the action of the "player" and the interaction of the string with the fretboard, body, and pickups of the bass instrument, and all of this gives MODO BASS the ability to create sound in real time, providing you the ever-changing, hyper-realistic bass sound your music needs to reach the next level. MODO BASS 2 is the expanded edition of IK's industry-first physically modeled bass virtual instrument, adding 8 new basses, including new fretless and upright options, a new patterns section with tons of new grooves, advanced performance controls, and more ways to enter the notes, and it offers 22 unique bass instruments to create exactly the right bass sound for your music, comprising the 14 original iconic basses plus 8 exciting new ones. Beyond the models themselves, the specification covers 32 faithfully recreated, interchangeable iconic bass pickups with volume, the ability to choose active or passive electronics with parametric EQ, an under-bridge piezo pickup with blend, the capacity to turn any standard electric bass into a fretless bass using MODO's new controls, 2 double-bass models with a dedicated room and mics, 7 bass stompbox effects configurable in a 4-slot chain covering Octaver, Distortion, Chorus, Compressor, Delay, Envelope Filter, and Graphic EQ, and 2 iconic bass amps — Solid State and Tube derived from AmpliTube, with a global bypass feature that allows you to route the bass signal from MODO BASS into another amp effects modeling suite like AmpliTube Custom Shop. It has an ultra-small memory footprint — a property of physical modelling — and runs natively on Apple's M1 processors. System requirements are Intel Core 2 Duo or Apple M1 with 4 GB of RAM (8 GB suggested) on macOS 10.13 or later, or Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 with 4 GB of RAM (8 GB suggested) on Windows 10 or later, requiring an ASIO compatible sound card. Supported formats are Audio Units, VST 2, VST 3, and AAX (64-bit). It suits rock, pop, funk, soul, jazz, and metal production. #ElectricBass #MODOBASS #MODOBASS2 #IKMultimedia #PhysicalModeling #BassInstrument #ElectricBass #Fretless #DoubleBass #AmpliTube #Pickups #Stompbox #Keyswitch #MIDI #MusicProduction #VST2 #VST3 #AU #AAX #Standalone #FLStudio #AbletonLive #LogicPro #Cubase #StudioOne #ProTools
